A Soundbite-Based Transaction (SBT) refers to a transaction that is initiated through a short sound clip using a payware API. It’s important to note that SBTs incur an additional cost per transaction.
For billing purposes, each SBT that is completed with a CONFIRMED status will be counted as a single SBT on your monthly invoice. However, every two SBTs completed with a status other than CONFIRMED, will be counted as a single SBT on your monthly invoice.
| Soundbite transactions | |
|---|---|
| SBTs per month | Price per SBT |
| Up to 20’000 | € 0.05 |
| 20’001 - 45’000 | € 0.04 |
| 45’001 - 100’000 | € 0.03 |
| Over 100’000 | € 0.02 |
How the bill is computed. First, your confirmed and non-confirmed SBTs are converted into a single billable SBT count for the month: each confirmed SBT counts as 1, and every two non-confirmed SBTs count as 1 (i.e. 0.5 each). The graduated tier price is then applied once to that single billable count. Pricing is graduated - each tier applies only to the quantity within that bracket, not to the total - and there is only ever one ladder, so every SBT (confirmed or not) reaches the same discounted brackets.
Example (confirmed only): A bank with 30,000 confirmed SBTs is billed across tiers:
Example (confirmed + non-confirmed): A bank with 20,000 confirmed and 20,000 non-confirmed SBTs. Billable count = 20,000 + (20,000 / 2) = 30,000 SBTs, billed on the same single ladder:
